SHOPS
I always try my local pet or feed stores for most items. But because I am picky, I often end up ordering over the internet. The following shops are good places to get vitamins, medicines and hard to find supplies.
Birds2Grow.com
FinchNiche
LadyGouldianFinch
Other on-line shops, such Drs.Foster& Smith also have lots of things for finches. What I can't find, I do a search for and compare prices. There are many shops on the internet to choose from. As I use a small size full spectrum light bulb, I get it here HarringtonLights. Read the articles below for reasons for using full spectrum bulbs for birds. It is easy enough to longer size full spectrum bulbs at Home Depot or other such stores.
LIGHTING
see Robert Black's Avian Nutrition and article "Cage Bird and Vitamin D" can be ordered on Birds2Grow and his article on-line "Cage Bird Lighting"
Ian Hinze on lighting for birds
